Pets And People Humane Society Yukon, Oklahoma Pets & People Humane Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill humane society that rescues adoptable cats and dogs from municipal animal control facilities across the state of Oklahoma on the day they are to be euthanized. We provide a safe harbor for our pets until they are adopted into responsible, loving homes. Break Heart Ranch Break Heart Ranch is owned and operated by Val and John Hinderlider - true friends to all horses. It doesn't matter the injury, disposition or the age we are here for the throw-aways, the lost, the starved, the abused, the hopeless - any who are unable to find a safe haven anywhere else. My life is dedicated to relieve the suffering we have caused these magnificent animals to whom we owe so very much. Where would we have been without them, they fed us, carried us to war, died for us, befriended us and helped us settle this country. The old saying goes "you can't save them all, only one at a time." but that doesn't help the tears, sleepless nights or nightmares when I must leave behind those poor animals on the meat lines knowing their final destination, especially when they know what is going to happen to them. The first, Buddy, we've kept as our own, after he came dragging his rusted chain, malnourished and abused. We nurtured him back to health and kept him in our family. Since then, having seen the vast need in our area for an advocate for the dogs, our non-profit (federal/pending) organization was created to help these lost, neglected, abused dogs find families worthy of their love and loyalty. We decided on the name, All Dogs' Heaven, because we will not discriminate against any breed, size, age or need. All dogs deserve to know the love that can reside behind the touch of a human hand, and we have made it our mission to do our best to touch as many of those sweet souls as we can to see that they find their own little piece of Heaven here on Earth.
